Recently returned back to WA after a two year Army assignment out of state. With the amazing warm weather that we had last week, I have been patiently waiting to get back on the water for Kokes.
Started early on Saturday morning and knew everything would take longer to find my groove, as I had not been on American Lake in quite a long time.

Tally for the day was two Trout and two Kokes.
Temp was in the 60s, surface water temp 66, overcast with winds 4-8 MPH.
Hit the normal spots with the normal gear and nothing even showing on the screen.

Finally spotted a few schools and started working the east and north ends of Silcox. 25-40 on the wire, following the 60 foot contours. Speed roughly 1.0-1.6 depending on winds and location.
Pink hootchies and wedding rings topped with anise soaked corn seemed to be the only thing working for me.

Bites few and far between but well worth the effort.

Lastly, thanks to the previous posters on the forum which enabled me to have a decent reference point to start from again. I appreciate it greatly and hope that this report might help others.
