Hit the water around 8am and headed to crab creek. The day before produced five walleye and a lost pig, so my hopes were up for sure. The first catch of the day was quick, but it wasn't the usual spiny Ray. A nice new pair of sunglasses from the depths of the potholes. Kids were exited, but it was just the beginning. Next up were two smalleys and then the walleye started showing up. We caught a total of 6 from 16-22". A good morning for sure. Dropped the kids off and turned the boat towards the dam, but no luck other then more smallies. So I headed towards the state park and seen a little action on the finder so I hit the anchor button and dropped a maggot tipped jig pulled up three fat perch. Lost the school so I ended my day. Great time with the kids and wife. Can't wait to get back.
