First time fishing for largies. Left the boat launch with Tom around 7:00am. Tom ended up with 2 large and 1 small. I caught my first large right before we left the lake, right before 1:30pm. We used a combo of Texas rigged stick worms, drop shot, spinners, frogs, and cranks. I caught mine with the spinner.

Ya, it was slow but fun to have someone to fish with. Your spinnerbait caught one and my spinnerbait caught one, a 2.53 Smallie, which I didn't expect to get a bite there as we both fished that spot a minute earlier. And 2 on the dropshot, a 1 1/4and a 1. 74. I think the perch was on the dropshot, but I forget. lol And my last fish of the day, a 2.09 on the worm. We had 6 in the boat, 4 Largies, and 2 Smallies. We went to 5 areas, caught fish in 3 of them. The 5th area was also the 3rd area, Shawn caught his Largie in that area - 3rd and 5th area the second time thru. :-) Was on the lake for 7 hours and 4 minutes.

Oh ya, just remembered. Did you lose a line, bobber, small hook, and 2 weights a week or two ago in the bay where the park is? :-)

I don't think I lost any gear. Let me know if you'd like company again sometime. I'm looking to get s cheap little Jon boat and trolling motor soon. Also stopped by Limit Out today and met Russ. Nice guy.

The stuff I found today had enough slime/moss on it for a week or so. I was in that spot on the 6th and the bobber wasn't there. Had 2 of the same sinkers and set up you had on your spinning rod.

Nice photo! It has all the main ingredients of a good fish photo - some water - some sky, angler joy. and a nice side view of the fish. And the angler is holding the fish in a manner that should prevent jaw injury by supporting the body with one hand.
