Got a late start around 11am and fished till about 2pm. Landed 7 Kokanee most in the 13-14 in range with 1 11 in. Wedding ring combos and wiggle hoochie behind Macks Dodgers. Orange was hot early then Melissa's homemade wedding ring in purple and blue outfished all the commercial stuff. Had to stay at 40-50 ft to avoid all the new rb stockers. Still had a few hits from bows deep and 1 even took the lure as the downrigger ball was dropping. Hot spot for us was just east of the launch in 60-80 f.o.w.

Much chunkier Kokes this summer. Fun day with lots of bites all afternoon!

Love Summit! I've pulled some monsters out of Summit. Have you noticed the lice on the trout later in the summer?

Yes, really bad on a few fish so much so I did not want to touch them. Not sure what that is all about.

I only have 2 seasons to comment on. Last summer the Kokanee were smaller and looked like 2 yr olds, no parasites on fish we caught. Rainbows looked healthy until the end of the summer then they all had skin lesions. This year the Kokanee are larger and some have copepods in the gills. Haven't seen skin lesions on either Kokanee or trout yet this year. In all cases the meat looks clean but still prefer to catch fish without parasites. WDFW dumps a whole lot of fresh stockers in each year. I'd be curious to hear their comments on the health of fish in Summit.
