Visited Beth Lake end of May, after leaving nearby Lost Lake, which just experienced a nasty algae bloom which covers lines, leaders, flies and lures making fishing difficult.
After seeing older reports, this looked like a good choice to find decent sized westslope cutts and larger rainbows.
(Loud buzzer sound) Thanks for playing....
The only fish available were small, newly planted run of the mill rainbows, 12 to 13 inches, the same ones I can catch in any of the local lakes around my house near Tacoma. Yippee....After catching a dozen or so of those one after another, I put the boat back in the truck and split. There were no cutthroats, no larger rainbow. Talked to a half dozen anglers who just repeated what I reported, no larger bows, no cutts. Shoulda been here a few years back, apparently.
Very pretty lake, but dissapointing fishing.
Heading back to Twisp area.
