It is great to be back on the water. I took my kayak out of wavery park in Kirkland Saturday morning for perch. The bite was pretty much constant with perch, small bluegills, smallmouth, largemouth, and rockbass. The hard part was finding spots to catch the keeper size perch. I had the best luck fishing the weed edge in about 14'-16' feet of water. Some spots had big perch, others had small ones. I just kept moving until I found the bigger ones. I ended up with 26 keepers between 7"-11". A nice sized fillet of perch seems to work the best for catching the keeper perch.

It was a beautiful morning on the water with a light breeze, partly cloudy, and temps 60-70. Water temp was around 65.

How far from shore was the weed edge?

Not sure the distance, but if you look in google maps you can pretty much see the weedlines in satellite view. You can compare that to the docks.
