On the water and fishing by 0530 with my son and one of his friends that hasn't ever done much fishing. Launched at the Wyatt Park boat launch and motored straight out from there to the opposite side of the lake. It didn't take but about 5 minutes and we had the first fish in the boat. We pretty much stayed in the same general area until we finished around 1000. Fished 40-60 feet on the down riggers with silver dodgers, chartreuse spinners and shoe-peg corn soaked overnight in Bumble Bee tuna juice and Pro-Cure bloody tuna scent. In all we caught 16 Kokanee and only lost 2 or 3 right at the boat. All the fish we caught were decent sized and pretty chunky. Biggest fish of the day went to my sons friend (who got to reel in most of the fish), 1.3lbs and 15in. and came up from a depth of 60 feet. All in all it was a great day of fishing, sunshine, hardly any wind and happy kids!! What more could you ask for.
