It was time to go back to a nice small lake to try out my kayak mods today...especially after being blown around Loon this morning!

The perch were small but plentiful! It was routine to boat a fish on every cast. I even got to watch a small school follow one being boated. It was like they wanted to find out what was going on.

The final tally was 20 perch boated. There were ~5 that flipped off the hook just before getting them out. They aren't big, but they're fun!

I saw 2 families on the shore. I decided I didn't want the task of prepping/cooking the fish. So, I donated them. I think it was the first time these folks had ever fished. They had nothing but rods, reels, hooks, bobbers and hotdogs. The kids were amazed at the number of fish on the stringer...which is now their first piece of tackle!!
