Launched boat at public access and headed over to the West bank of the lake to fish areas arond the docks. I was fishing for largemouth and smalmouth bass. We caught a few (avg. 2lbs), flipping 1/4 oz jigs with green red pattern mister twisters. I had just switched rods to an ultralight when I thought I had hooked some vegetation. With 4lb test on the reel, I grabbed the line with my hand and gave a little tug to break free. Tat's when my rob bounced a couple times and then the line started pulling off the reel. I lightened the drag and allowed the fish to take what it wanted to take, and reeled back what it wold give me. After about a 12-15 minute wrestling match, we finally netted it. a 41 inch, 21lb Musky. After snapping a pic or two, nested it in the water, revived it, and let it go.
