Still thick with the green stuff so I just went ahead and started with the Senko. I was about 75 yards in to the right (east) of the launch before anything touched it. It was a dink fest for a bit until a decent 1.5 grabbed it. Then it was slow until the turn back towards the west, in that little cove I pitched into a hole in the pads, felt the tap and game on! Finally a decent bass! He tried his best to wrap me around the pads but fortunately I had changed spools from 8lb mono to 14lb and got him free of the pads where he made a couple nice runs before I got ahold of his mouth, 4lbs even. I continued back west hitting a dink / pounder here and there. All along the shore frogs were spooking and jumping into the lake from the reeds as I passed, this gave me an idea and out came the flipping stick! I did another lap pitching and flipping a Z-Hog on a 1 ounce tungsten pegged into every little crack in the pads starting as close to shore as possible and working out towards the edge. This nabbed decent bass #2 a 3lber and a few more pounders and a couple misses. Once the pads were picked apart I decided to head out deeper and drag 7 and 10" worms along the bottom. The only nibble here was on the 10" and I don't know what the little guy was thinking? I just held pressure and let him tug for all he was worth until he dropped it. Besides that I has zero other action and departed at about 1-2pm.
