Trying to squeeze as much fishing in as possible, so off we go.

Check out an area that I haven't fished in quite some time. Buzzed a few lures past the docks without a follow or bite. Dip the DS in and instantly it swims off. Set the hook and dink! Oh well, fish within the first 10 mins is always fun.

After that, it was dink fest. Had to have been in the double digits with dinks. Couldn't find the big ones. I set the hook on one. It flew out of the water almost hitting me. Went over the boat into the water on the other side, lol. Barely bigger than the bait.

Went to the other side of the lake see if anything is active there. Find me a small LMB, maybe a 1#er if that, on a DS.

I pitch my DS underneath a dark area on a dock inbetween a boat. See the line twitch and I set the hook. Felts like a good one and it's barely moving out. Then slack. Came unbutton! Doesn't happen often. Pretty confident it was a nice one. Went to the other side of the dock and see if I could get it to bite away. Instead, I'm back to dink. Just under 12" or so. I toss a tube by the same dock. Hopping and I feel those little nips. Then I fell a solid strike. Set the hook and fish on! Then it comes unbutton again! WTF. Waited a few mins and put the DS back into action, followed by a senko. No more bites, so kept moving.

I didn't want to hit my fart hole 2 days in a row, but lack of size forced me to. Wasn't sure if the fish would be active there or not.

Got to fart hole and 2nd cast, fish on! Set the hook and it feels pretty nice. Scoop into the net and 2.40#. Something decent finally. A couple of casts later, I get another bite. Looked to be the similar size fish. 2-2.5#. Nice and healthy fishes.

Then caught 3 more dinks in the area. I here shuffling up in the trees and look up. I see an eagle take off after another bird. It chases that bird away. Hawk or osprey? Anyways the eagle comes back and goes up to the tree again. That's when I notice, there's been 2 eagles sitting up in this tree. They were hoping for a meal I guess, but I haven't caught any squawfish in a while. Was hoping for 1. Or even a perch.

Pulling out and I hit a rocky looking point in ~30' of water. I see some arches down there. Toss out the DS. Nothing. I see markings right below me. Was able to videogame 1 SMB dink and that was it. Got hot out. Was done fishing by 11:30.
