After making sure everything was running fine I called Kim (pinkpole) and asked if she wanted to go fish Summit Lake by Olympia. It was a yes.

We were fishing just before 7am. It was sunny with a wind blowing enough to make some waves. The water temperature was 72 degrees.

We went to the northeast end of the lake to start and Kim had bites right off but could not get them in the boat. The action wasn’t really hot but there were a lot of marks on the fish finder. On the movie it shows some of the many fish that were around and the bites that took bait that I didn’t know about.

Most of the fish were at 40 feet and below and that is where we kept the downrigger balls at most of the time. We fished in the 60-85 foot depth of water. The rod that the camera was on went from 35 feet down to 56 feet.

I told Kim that the biggest trout I had caught was here ( see my report on June 3, 2012) and I was using a Wannafish A Lure Green Machine but I told her I didn’t have one. She later pulled one of her stuff. She put it on and she caught the biggest trout she has caught at 15.5 inches. It was the biggest trout today!

I said we have to leave about 10:30 and I got a bite close to that. I was reeling it in saying that it didn’t matter what it was we had to go. Low and behold it was a kokanee caught on a Wannafish A Lure Orange and Gold attached to a Dick Nite Copper Hot Orange Tractor Tread UV Dodger.
We ended each taking home 3. Kim 3 trout and I took 2 trout and a kokanee.

I also had extra visitors in the boat this morning. First thing Kim found a small yellow jackets nest. Good thing it was cool and they didn’t move very fast.

We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.

Nice going!! I think I counted 7 fish following at one time. Wish the kokes would of come out to play but at least you got one, great video as always.

Hunter;
Interesting video. Is that with a Go Pro mounted on downrigger?
Have you heard of the Chamberlin release? No lite biters that you don't know are there.

Clawman: it is not on the downriggers. I have heard of Chamberlin, I don't want one.
The camera is a Water Wolf. Inline about 16 inches from the dodger.
If a person doesn't look at their rod they will not know if there is anything there. Also, with those nippers, one needs to check for bait after a nip. This also proves you don't always need bait. First one I kept was on a baitless lure.

Thanks Hunter757 without you we couldn't have gone out!!
