Went to Sixteen this morning. Havent fished there since my dad used to take me as a kid. Launched about 7:30 this morning and started trolling olive woolley buggers on both lines. Set the downrigger to 15 feet and the other line was probably 5-7 feet down. About 15 minutes in a takedown on the downrigger. Landed it, decent trout just under 14 inches. Maybe 10 minutes later the other rod goes off, but after getting the fish about halfway in it pops off. A little bit later, the downrigger line goes down, but that fish gets off as well. Thinking this might be a decent day with 3 fish on in not much more than 30 minutes. Nope. That was it. Tried up and down the water column, tried Doc Spratleys, wedding rings, dick nites and even a little still fishing at the end. Bite shut completely off. Saw one other person come and go while I was out with no bites.

No fun cleaning just one fish, but I won't waste anything I bring home. So one more for the next bunch that goes in the smoker. Meat on the fish was a peach color. A little disappointing.
