This is a two trip report, the first outing occurred 9-14. Partner Art and I managed 8 nice Kokes!
Went to Deep Lake Friday morning and started fishing just after 8 am, I got the first fish at 8:15! We finished around 1:15 lacking one fish for 2 limits. My partner, Clint, caught one that looked to be 13+ inches. I got one that was one half to three quarters of an inch shorter. Also got one of next years fish, about 7 inches. It was uninjured so I let it go. He got 4 and I got 5. We lost quite a few, too many to keep track. Used my Sockeye lures with treble hook stingers, red shoepeg corn and a bit of gulp brown worm. (a white squid with pink smile blade). Six inches in front of the squid was a pro light flasher. We started one pole at 49 and one at 39. The first fish hit at 39 so we went to that the rest of the day. Did yo know it rains over here? We got caught in a light rain for part of the day. At first I was worried about the boat but then I realized, it is a boat, ok to get wet! I don't remember the last time I fished in the rain in a boat and it was not over here! ! What a great day!
Sorry about the horizontal pictures, maybe Mike can correct or tell ne how to so it in the future!
