Decided to fish again this morning. Kind of hard when Lake Wa is my back yard. Less than 5 min drive to my favorite beach I launch my toon and on the water by 8am (ya I slept in.) Didnt have to travel far just straight out from the beach until I hit 60 ft of water and dropped the gear down to 50. Marked a few fish right away, hooked and realeased a 12 inch Cutt. Set the gear back down and FISH ON!!!! This was right in front of Kirkland where most fish were seen rising. Gave me a good little run and then found itself in my net. An hour goes by without a nibble so I re-scent and repeat and 5 min later rods starts dancing again as I'm fighting the fish he goes air Bourne and spits the hook. I had drawn quite an audience after the second fish as a fleet of boats started heading my way. I was done anyways, trolled back to the beach without a bite and called it quits so I could watch some football. Pretty stellar day considering the lack of nets flying this morning. I'll be back out mid week. Tight lines!
