Left the house on a chilly 32* morning. Made it up to Clear and was happy to see no sign of the algae that's gripping Big Lake right now. Wasn't happy to see the whitecaps, especially given the chilly morning. Launched into the wind as the west side of the launch is too shallow now to float my boat off the trailer. This sucked for multiple reasons!

Began fishing the docks on this side switching between topwater, swim jig and Senko with zero results. Motored back over to piling row and boated one sub-pounder on the jig. Fished my way over to piling point, around to the park and then outside and inside the pads to the south, still nothing. Then, about 1100, the wind stopped. Almost immediately a bite began, nothing extreme but action at least. Went back over to piling row and caught 2 sub pounders and lost one about 3lbs. Made a pass down the opposite side and then past the launch and back over by the docks where I finally boated a decent 3.2lber.

That would be the fish of the day. Water temps were 55* when I launched and 58* when I left about 2:30. Water was a little cloudy but no algae at this point. I fished mojo-rigs and jigs out to 20 feet but most of the fish on the electronics were suspended at about 6'. Saw only a couple on or near the bottom.
