I was at the launch to meet Glen and Cami about 6:45am then I got a text saying that something was wrong with the truck and they were going to have to go back home. I told them I would stop by as I had something to give them.
When I got there Glenn had fixed it. Only a loose wire. So back to American we went.

I think we started about 9. It was foggy and cold. The water temp was 59 degrees. I was using, for the first time, a planer board. I used a jointed Rapala on it. It got the first hook up but I lost it. The Rapala received the most hits. I also used spinners, spoons, on the planner board. I was also using the downrigger which I didn’t see much action on until about 11am when I had a takedown but it got away. Of course the video (attached to the downrigger rod) shows that they made quick attacks that I didn’t see except for one on a 50/50 Dick Nite Dodger and a Gilded Lily.

We tried to find things in the boat that would work for perch fishing and we went to try that after noon but we only had one bite each. Then we went back to trolling which we ended about 3:00pm by picking up one clipped kokanee each. Mine was on a Dick Nite Copper Hot Orange Tractor Tread UV Dodger with a Wannafish A Lure Squiddy Thang Orange at 22 feet on the wire. Glen used a Rocky Mountain Bahama Mamma dodger with a Wannfish A Lure Mini Squiddy Thang Pink with a gold blade. The fish were the same size but mine was a next year fish and Glen’s was getting ready to spawn.

The fog burned away to mostly sunny skies with a slight breeze. The high that day was 64 degrees.
