Today started out exactly the same as yesterday except I left a little earlier and there was a bit more wind and a bit less rain. Started to the right of the launch about 9am for the same reason too. Caught the first fish, with the tumor on its gill plate, near the pilings in 5 feet of water on my 10th or so cast. The wind was gusting at times trying to whitecap the lake. I made the rounds on the right side of the pilings before motoring over to the left (east) side of the pilings and north towards the shore. I lit them up over here and was thinking today was going to be better than yesterday so I immediately began making the rounds, unfortunately I only caught one other fish off the east bank before bowing out to the increasing wind and whitecaps at 2pm.
I even tied on a swim jig that was bigger with more white in it as the water is pretty stained from all the rain. Fished it deeper and through the same spots as yesterday without a strike....picked up the other jig and caught the last fish of the day within three casts ha ha. 2.7lbs to end the day. I do believe the increase in wind killed the bite as it is pretty much the only thing that changed. Water temps were still 52-53*.
Flipped for a bit but just hauled water.
