Was able to get the day off of work to go fishing with AJ's dad. Thank you to all our Veterans. Mark is really dialed into the pike fishing on this lake. It was a pretty interesting day as Mark missed a few fish early in the first hour of fishing. I was able to catch the first fish of the day, rare when fishing with Mark. I caught a nice 29 inch pike on a glide bait Mark was kind enough to give a friend in need. I lost my previous 2 earlier in the year. Mark then landed a 7lb 30 incher a short while later. We both missed a few more fish in the afternoon. I was fishing a spoon on the edge of a weed bed in 10 fow when I got a hit. Fish took many nice runs. It was my personal best and Mark said the biggest pike taken out of his boat this year. So lucky to be able to fish with such a great partner. I would not have able to catch as many quality fish the past 2 years without Mark and his expertise on water and lures. Pike measured 36 inches and a fat 15 lbs 5 oz and was safely released. I was able to catch all on my GoPro which added to the special day.
