Hadn't tried for lake Stevens Kokanee in a while and my buddy just got a big boat, we're used to a little 12ft aluminum and he got an 18ft fiber form. Tried timber there before first light, but got there a little before 7. We saw fish all over the lake. Top, bottom, schooled, suspended, everywhere. Tried a bunch of new stuff as we have never gotten them tom bit in 39 degree water. Funny thing though, our go-to lures that always work here seemed to work again. After everything we tried ended up with 2 in the boat and one lost. All bites came at 42ft. Overall a successful trip as we just wanted to catch during "winter". The last one before today came in December. Cannot wait for the season to start this year.

Fish on!!!

Congratulations! I tried a few weeks ago and it was 40-42 degrees, could not get em to go. How fast did you troll? What was the magic setup?

I have never fished that lake before but plan on it this year. For one I like Kokanee. Yes it is cold for this kind of fishing is why there is hardly anyone out there but on a positive note easy to park and launch. Good to hear you got a couple.
