3/23/2017 10:21:00 PMWe were recently locked out as well at a WDFW access site on a year-round lake. Through a phone call to WDFW, we were informed that this practice minimizes vandalism and littering during the "off-season". Other lakes that have public access during the "regular" fishing season are gated in the winter to pleasure boaters (not fishing) as well to keep the smaller lakes quiet for the locals. Hmmm. Public access, but not really. This may have been the reason for the Lk Desire closure as well.
