Went to Lost lake after work with the pontoon and there's no more skunk for 2017! Fished the North end for about an hour. Fish were jumping all over the entire lake. Didn't catch any had a few bites. Then went to the south end where it is pretty shallow. Tried for bass for a while then switched back to trout. Got my 1st trout on orange power bait and it was a decent 15" or so hold over. Caught in the lip and released. The next half dozen or so fish I landed were 8-10" planters and I got them on a little green speckled dicknight with a silver back. Used that with about 4 ft of liter and 1/4oz weight and mostly just sat and casted at rising schools of fish. Had many bites that didn't stick too. It was a good couple hours of sunny weather and catching some fish.
I'm hoping the lakes start to warm up for the bass. Some of these planters in local lakes will fatten up the big ones!
