Little late posting the report. This was for last Sunday 4/2. Started at 615. Fish were all over top water so tried my orange lures. First fish came at 630. Fished till 930 with 3 in the boat and lost 2. Overall bites heating up. Seemed to be more action today. Before I left I finally saw them begin to school larger at shallower depths than they had been all winter.

You said you used orange lures but the photograph appears to be a bronze and silver cleo dodger and red/white lures. Did the red/white lures or an orange lure? What worked best?

The photograph is of my fish finder, which shows a school of fish. I only use orange lures in topwater at stevens. After that go green.

Hey - thanks very much for the information! The photograph of the kokanee schooling was very cool. I am taking my grandson out for the first time tomorrow so I am doing my homework so he will hopefully catch some fish.

FYI - I have had success deeper in the lake with chartreuse (green) hoochies too.
