Tried Martha Lake again. Turned out to be pretty much a bust. Only one other boat on the lake in the afternoon. They came away empty handed as well. Only one note to pass on. After trying numerous flies, I finally tied on a red sparkle leech. This actually drew the hits. Did have one fish on--a small unknown--but it slipped the hook. Had to bail before revisiting all the likely fish-holding areas, because "nature" was calling a lot louder than the fishing. Good luck to those fly fishers willing to pick up where I left off.
