My friend Trent and I headed out at 6:30, started on swimming dock; nothing. At 9:30 we went to a private dock on the east side of the lake. At about 10, my friend Trent caught a wimpy trout that couldn't have been more than 8 inches. About a half an hour later, Trent's pole started to dip. He got up and set the hooks. He thought he missed it, but his pole started jumping around. After a good 5-10 minute fight we netted it. At least 16", very fat. When we got home and cut it up, eggs came out; and as an added bonus the meat was as red as a salmon's meat. It was a nice hold over. We were using secret marshmallows with a worm floated up off the bottom with a 3 foot leader.
