It was tough fishing on the Bar today. Not the weather the fish. We launced out of Edmonds at 7am, dropped a couple pots and went over to Apple Cove Point. Fished till 9am. One release at 8am, quickly came off. Didn't see anything going on so at 9am it was off to the Bar. The conditions were great - sunny, warm, light breeze. The minus tide today was huge and the downrigger cables were moving sideways to the boat sometimes! Saw a few other boats out fishing, including a charter guide boat, All Star Charters. Felt a little better when he said it was tough fishing. We caught two tiny shakers, but no resident coho. Came in at noon, checked our pots. Two nice crabs in one pot, one nice crab in the other - opps! Dropped that one off the back of the boat. Oh well, he's there for the next crabber!
