Took my boys out to try for Humpies again. We hit the water about 7am and had a double to start the day off. We were trolling Humpy rigs (white dodgers and pink hoochies/spoons)from 40 to 75 feet deep. Both fish unfortunately came off. At 9 am we moved over to the east side of Possession Point and tried there for an hour and a half. No luck. We then went to the Ship Wreck area and caught two pinks at 40 feet and 50 feet. We ended the day at noon. We saw a few fish caught here and there, but nothing outstanding, EXCEPT- a charter boat, Possession Point Charters, was trolling four rods and hitting the fish like crazy. We saw them double twice and hit several other pinks. They appeared to be using a large white flasher and a pink hoochie about 40" behind the flasher (yes I did trail them for awhile, I guess I have no pride :-) ). Anyway, I didn't have large white flashers, but I sure will for the next humpy season!
