Launched out of Shilshole with my son James and his friend Avery. We dropped a couple crab pots and motored over to Jeff Head. Started fishing three lines ( 2 riggers and a Deep Six). A bit of a breeze and cop made things interesting. Started in the 90-110 ft away off the White House. Tons of bait jumping and birds all over. The kids enjoyed that. Not to enjoy was the usual Jeff Head salad - everywhere. Fished in close and then moved out to the 2-300 ft line where there were a few other boats. Nada, nothing. A couple dogfish. Very disappointing. Moved back to Meadow Point at 9:30 and fished that area and West Point until noon. It was dead there as well. I ended up using the rest of our herring and having the kids mooch, which netted several dogfish. Fun for the kids, if not my target. We did bring home three nice red rock crabs. No dungies.
