Out on the water at 0600 with Tom, in his boat. The target - silvers, of course. Tom has no downriggers so he was using a Deep 6 with medium flasher and hoochie. I brought along my "Poor Man's Downrigger" (patent pending). Too bad I forgot my leather gloves. I was running a lg red flasher and lg glow green hoochie. Herring strips with my secret sauce finished off the rigs. We trolled Meadow Point w/o success until 7:30am, then headed toward West Point. Off the lg buoy near Shilshole I caught a good 6 pound hen (50 feet on the rigger). At 8:45 we arrived at West Point and I hooked and caught another nice 6-7 hen. I had other obligations so we had to call it a day at 9:30. Fishing has slowed down the last few days, but I wouldn't count it over yet! Thanks for the trip, Tom.
