After fishing Redondo on the 20th and 21st with no luck I decided to keep at it. I saw the picture of a guy who caught a 25# king on the evening of the 21st. I knew the fish were in there now.

Started trolling as soon as I left the launch at 4 PM. The tide change was at 6:15. Within the first half hour I had a solid takedown but no fish. A little while later caught a couple of sand dabs and had a another violent takedown. Once again no fish.. At 5:15, my downrigger popped and I grabbed the rod and the rod tip immediately hit the water. I knew right away this was a nice fish. After a several minute battle I brought the large king to the boat and put the net on her. A 20# king! I was so excited I was shaking.

I used an all silver 4.0 Coyote spoon behind a white/glow Hot Spot 80' down in 90' of water.
