Stayed home this year and fished Storm. My friend Don was down from BC, so we didn't get up early on Sat. morn. It was about 11am before we hit the water. I was surprised at the lack of boats on the lake. There were quite a few fishing from shoreline docks. It was cloudy and dead calm on the lake, so we decided to troll a small spinner. We went up and down the length of the lake with not a hit. I saw one fish caught in about a hour and that guy said it was his first fish of the day. He'd been fishing for 5 hours already!....so things weren't looking that good. We headed back to the east end of the lake and fished off my neighbors dock. Don picked up several small 9" fish using worms and marshmallow. I finally got my first fish a nice fat 14". The neighbors had a big crowd and the largest fish caught was a 18" that I heard. One gal in a boat near us picked up 4, with one nice 17" triploid using chartreuse powerbait in about half hour. Sunday the weather was much better with sun and a bit of wind. Action was much faster, but nothing to brag about.
