Getting better and better.
Got on the water and put the 1st line down right about the time you could read the downrigger with out a flash light.
After playing at different depths on the rigger I hooked up at 60 feet about 6:am. With a nice sized Male Pink. Weight was just over 10 pounds! WOW.
30 mins later at the same range my wife bought to the net a 6 pound male.
About 30 mins later one of the 2 rods went off. After a short fight that fish got off, but then I looked over and the 2nd rod was jumping. Lost it right at the boat.
We were back at the dock by 8:am. As we had other plans.
I'd say the pinks are in.. Not in huge numbers yet, but worth trying for. And it will only get better with each day.
We saw one boat next 2 us, they had landed 4 fish in 15 mins. They all looked much smaller than ours, but they were getting some good action. Could not get close enough to ask the depth. But 60 seems to be our sweet spot.
Enjoy! BTW. .Does it look like I got up at 3:30?
