I took a friend fishing on Tuesday. He hadn't been out on the Sound in about 12 years. I hooked the first fish around 7:30 and we got it in the boat, even after it went around the motor! Not too long after that, I hooked the next one and handed the rod to my friend. Unfortunately, he made the rookie mistake of not reeling like mad when the fish charged the boat. One more leap and it was gone. I caught the next one after he refused to "loose another fish". All fish hooked were before 8:30am at depths between 35' and 55'. After that, not even a nibble. But we did see a couple of other fish caught. Both Silvers were about 5.5 pounds. Happpy fishing everybody!
