fished last night from about 6:30 to 9:30 pm out on the fishing pier right next to golden gardens in ballard.. quite a few people were crabbing with out very good luck, down at the end of the pier a fella caught several nice sized rock fish using buzz bomb and jigs, another fella down at the shallower end was catching small flounders and me in the middle about 8:30 hit and i couldn't stop the Rat Fish from grabbing my Herring off the bottom, 1 after another, at 1 point my bait hadn't even hit bottom yet and Whammo! fish on. they were all around 2ft or under, in the 3 to 5 lb range i think, not very fiesty though on a big pole with 15lb test, but still a nice evening out catching. the Rat Fish sure are ugly but very unique looking and sometimes hey, a fish is a fish of course..
