Hit the water at about 0530 this morning. I cruised over to Solo Pt. Set the downrigger to 50' with a green/glow Hot Spot and a green/glow hoochie and within minutes my rod was bouncing and released. After several good runs the fish comes unbuttoned. Dang it! About an hour later my rod is bouncing again and releases. Once again, after several good runs the fish comes unbuttoned. Dang it!

Right around tide change my rod goes off again. This time I show the fish who is boss and bring him to the boat. An eight pound king. A little small but a keeper.

Around 0900 I switch out the hoochie for my old favorite the silver 4.0 Coyote with prism tape. Within minutes my rod is bouncing again. I bring this fish to the boat after the king goes airborne three times. A ten pound king! A little dark but a keeper none the less.
