Fished the south end of Gedney for lings on the 27th 28th and 29th (shortly). We fished in depths ranging from 30 - 120 feet. While no lings were caught, we all limited on Rockfish every day (except for the 29th). On the 29th we only fished for about 45 minutes before the wind kicked up, and it was time to call it a weekend. We used plug cut herring (green label). Best luck we had was around 50-60 feet where there is a long rockbed. All Rockfish were picked up here. Everywhere else we were only catching sole. About 8 boats out each day, and did not see one ling picked up. I here this is the place to catch them, but it sure didn't look like it. Has anyone had any luck here, or could give me some pointers? I would love to learn more about this area. I have a forum up for 8-2 lingcod. Please check it out if you have any feedback.
