Beautiful day for fishing. Its about 1:30 p.m. My friend Tod and I went out on his boat to the infamous CULVERT of American Lake. On the way out we stopped at BILLS BOAT HOUSE for some MAGGOTS, CHUM and some EGGS. We rigged our poles with a barrel swivel with a 1/4 oz worm sinker and 4ft of leader below with a pink bead and a pearl bead above a size 8 Kamagatsu hook. We anchored down in the middle of the Culvert. The depth was about 25ft. We set up an egg and two or three maggots and then hit bottom and reeled up about 8ft and lightly chummed our lines. In about two hours my friend and I caught our limits of Rainbow Ranging from 15 to 19 inches all native to American Lake.
Very simple way of fishing. I recommend to all trout fisherman to fish at this lake for rainbows. Good fish AND Good luck!
