After yesterday's incredible fishing naturally we had to try again. This time we wanted to play some with the pinks so we decided to buzz bomb them. Using pink and mother of pearl buzz bombs, we started fishing about 6:30. Within moments I had my first fish on. What a difference no flasher makes! Great fight, lost the darn fish at the boat. No matter, as the bite was on. My brother had a hit, missed, then I had a hookup and caught a beaut of a chrome bright hen. Then - it slowed, and slowed some more, and except for a sporadic hit we had no more luck. James never did get a hit, but had some excitement as a half dozen pinks followed his lure to the boat, but would not commit. About 9:30 we switched to the downriggers and cast a buzz bomb on the side. Nothing doing. The day ended at 11am. Tough switch from yesterday. Other boats were catching fish, but it wasn't lights out so far as I could tell. One thing - no secret sauce and herring strips today. Maybe that was it...
