Well this is both a crabbing and blackmouth report.

Crab: Dropped the pots Monday night and then pulled them up Tuesday morning. 2 of our four are somehow gone. I presume stolen. We still manage to pull limits that morning for me and my dad in two pots, and we did the same thing Wednesday and Thursday morning. Lets just say we had lots of crab to accompany the turkey at our Thanksgiving dinner. We had a lot of people over to the cabin and some left with a few crab to take home....We used old salmon carcasses we saved in the freezer for bait, pots were sitting in 40-50 feet of water.....

Blackmouth: Me and my dad went out every morning right out in front of our cabin and got limits within an hour every morning (Tues, Wed, and Thurs) before we pulled the pots....Couple 8lb blackmouth, most in the 4 to 5lb range. Fished in 90-100 feet of water and hit them trolling at 60-75 feet. Green/glow hotspot on one rod with a green spatterback ace Hi Fly and a Silver 0 Dodger with a green/glow coho killer were the only two setups we needed, cause they both kicked out fish. Both were smeared with Salmon feast smelly jelly....

Thanksgiving dinner wasn't just turkey for the whole family. Lots of crab and salmon, and still have a few crab and a few more fillets to eat/give out. Good fishing and great weather. Cold, a small breeze, but the sunshine and fishing kept us out there...

PS: Lots of guys working Columbia beach for BM. Saw at least 20 boats down that stretch of the Island when I came home on the ferry this (Friday) morning...Nets were also out just north of the line the ferries take to and from Clinton/Mukilteo...
