Well, changed horses in mid stream...was going to hit partridge bank but because of the SUPER calm water decided Alden bank to change it up a bit. Needless to say, I didn't have any luck with the hailbut, but you have to try, right? Found a nice gravel slope on the south end of Alden that the tide was pushing me over at about 1-1.3 mph...perfect. Did about 6 passes from 180-300 ft with the spreader and black label, nothing. Thought I spotted one on the sonar at 240, but couldn't hook up. About noon decided to hit parker reef for some late season blackmouth. On the initial drift, marked three fish ON the bottom...about 100-110ft. Four consecutive passes with the white/glow pro chip with blue/black hoochie at 90-100 ft and nothing. Didn't want to get skunked so I figured I'd hit north side orcas for some greenling (kelp cod). Didn't manage any, but a few C&R rockfish and lingcod. Not what I was looking for, but at least my rod bent today... tomorrow hopefully it will be trout...tight lines!!

Some little spots off Eastern Bank are putting out some nice halis right now...

Focus on where the 91 (meters) meets the 35's, 26's, and 25's...pick out some odd humps that no one is on...that's where most of the fish are coming from.

I wish I could be out there! Get an early start tomorrow sunup to around 9am...:) Good luck
