After many hours on the water it all came together today. My brother and I hit point no point at 600a.m. trolling hot spot flashers and green and white coho killers. After releasing shakers for a couple hours my pole started bouncing and I knew a decent fish was on. As soon as I pulled the rod out of the holder the fish immediately wrapped the line around my brothers down rigger cable. I thought the fish was gone for sure, but somehow we were able to unwrap the line from the cable and still have the fish on. After fighting the fish for 10 minutes without any other mishaps I finally boated my first chinook of the season. Better late than never. It measured 34 inches and weighed 25 pounds. I will be back out tomorrow.
