I headed out to Area 7 early for my first and long awaited day of Blackmouth fishing this year. I launched out of Washington Park, 8 bucks ouch, but its close to the places I like to fish. I spent most of the morning trying different combinations of spoons, bait, flashers. About 3:30, one finally hit on a green flasher/ green hoochie setup. I then learned just how hard it is to get the boat out of gear, play a fish, get the manual downrigger up, and then net the thing all by myself. I can't wait to go out and do it again!!!

Big Fish... nothing fancy, I run the hoochie about 32 inches behind the flasher. The hoochie it self just slid down the line on two hooks the trailing hook just beyond the skirt. Run it right on the bottom.
