I chose "no fish caught" but after we were done trolling for salmon and headed into the docks I rigged a drop shot and caught a flounder and a rockfish right outside of the pt defiance launch! :)

we started around 5am this morning trolling green and gree/white hoochies behind a flasher. We also tried herring behind a flasher. Here's what I did... I thought I was following the swede's step by step but maybe I missed something!?!

Down riggers down to about 80' starting, and moved down 10' or so every hour, till we finally sat on bottom.

constantly tried to stay in 125-150' of water.

at a couple points I did try down riggers shallower, around 60', and deeper, around 150'.

we never got any nibbles at all, but we did mark some fish out by the point (like usual) nobody else reported catching anything, but the dock hands reported 38 caught last weekend??

I dunno... i'm frustrated with this area, I always go to it for some reason, but I haven't caught any in 3 or 4 outtings now.

we're going to Area 13 opening crab weekend so we can crab and troll. I would have been pretty bummed out about todays trip if we didn't catch the rockfish and flounder, those made my day because I've never seen either one caught before
