For the first time in almost 20 years, myself & my two brothers was able to get together, and it took place doing some Salmon fishing out of Westport. Ive been on these trips be4, however Lance & jamie never has and it was something new for them. We left Shelton at 230 am and got down to Westport with lots of time to spear. As we was driveing down, the weather looked like it wouldnt work with us, lighting and lots of rain. But as we got there it was fine and stayed that way all day. We left land about 530 and Capt Kevin of the Gold Rush took us out a ways and lets just say this, after a 2 hour ride out to sea, we all had our limits by 12:30, all 15 of us on the boat. The pictures are of the catch and my two brothers, i didnt get one on the cell as im waiting for my on film from the camera. But as you can tell we had a good day. I even hooked a shark! lol. I fought it for almost 15 minutes, and wow talking about a fight! Those fish gave us all a great time. I have to say a big thanks to Capt Kevin. He knew what he was doing, he was out on deck to help anytime and was willing to do what ever it took to help. Also his deck hand JP, that kid earned his tips. We will be back with Kevin next year!
