Well i went out with a couple of my buddies for some king fishing on Sunday at area 9. Decided to head to point no point, we got there about 5am. Tide was heading out, so we fish the west of the light house. We had two nice hook ups there. The first one some how got off, and the other one hit and ran so hard it snaped off and took the white lighting Coho killer. Both hit Coho killers.
Then ran over to where every one was mooching and tried that for a while. Got quite a few hook ups, mostly sharks and bottom fish. Saw a few landed there.
After tide change we trolled from the light house to piolet point, but no willing bitters.
It was getting close to time to leave, so we headed over to Possession Bar, for a last ditch effort. And it payed off for me. The horseshoe hole was holding some fish. I was running a green/glow flasher off the ball, and stacked above 8 ft with a green/glow spatter back Coho Killer.
Man its so nice to hook fish without having to fight the flasher and the fish. My king took off like a bat out of hell. Took two or three nice runs and then started to make his was to the boat. Had my buddy Joe on the net, and he didnt let me down. Perfect net job. 9.2lb hatchery king and it was my first king at Possession Bar and my biggest king so far.
Hope this report helps..........................JERM
