Launched at Pt Defiance about 2 pm. We motored over to Browns Point and anchored in 20 feet of water on the north side. John and I cast into the deep. 3 times our jigs were slammed and the fight was on. After several line clearing runs, our fish eventually hit the net. After 3 unscuccessful trips, it was great to finally get some scales in the new boat. We counted 48 fisherpersons on the beach and they caught about 12 fish in the 3 hours we fished here. The tide changed and the goo swept into our area. We picked up and slipped over to Quartermaster Harbor off the point. Anchored again and cast. We fished until 7:30 and got 3 more. We had a great time. The fish have been in the brine all night and I'm getting the smoker going in a few minutes. Good fishing to all.
