Tried shore fishing for pinks for the first time this morning. My brother-in-law and I got to the spot about 5am and it was still quite dark. Only one other group there, so thought we might be in the wrong spot, but soon people started showing up, so got started throwing our pink buzz bombs. It was pretty dead until about 7:30am, then things heated up for about an hour and I caught and lost 5 in that time while others on the beach were pulling them in. Things slowed down again after that, but people were still catching the periodic fish, so kept at it, then finally caught and landed one. Pretty soon got another to shore and hooked up one more, but lost that too, so called it a day at 11am and went home with 2 fish in the cooler. The hits seemed to be pretty constant from 9 to 11am, but it was hot. Had fun, but it took us a while to figure out what we were doing. Excited to go try it again now that we have an idea what we're doing.
