I got there at 6am and left at 6pm with two pinks and three crab. I lost two pinks off a rotator and a buzz bomb. These jigs cause abrasion on the line and it gave way. I watched one fish for several seconds try to get it out of its mouth. It was wedged up and down. It finally came out and the fish swam away. Later when the tide receded two guys went out and got all the bombs that were lost as well my rotator. The two fish I brought home were caught on jigs with a hootchie (squid).
We kept hearing about the hot action on Thursday after we left and hoped it would reoccur for us but it just didn't happen. There was good action just not as good as the day before.
Thursday the WDFW had under cover agents out on the dock. Afterward two uniformed officers came and they busted several people for over the limit. Two of the people who were ticketed were back fishing Friday.
