got to the ramp at mukilteo just before 1100, and man, what a cluster flop! all the inner floats lined with boats waiting to get out and a handfull of guys circling around waiting for space. it was a bit tricky and pretty bumpy, but we launched from the northern-most side of the floats and didn't have to wait at all. we ran down to the shipwreck and started fishing in 65' of water with the usual white flasher and pink hoochies w/ herring strip. it was slow at first with numerous hits and only got two fish in the boat before low tide at about 1330. we mixed it up, using flies and spoons and my 'secret' lure, having limited success. we alternated our trolling pattern and depth and finally dialed in to the fish at 45' and above. lots of bites and one double in the boat. we stayed outside of the 'fleet' pretty much and were heading back to the dock with our limits by 1600. not exactly what i would call a bite, but the afternoon fishing is getting better and better. hate to say it but we need more rain i think.
