Last Friday I tried Idiot Bay with the rest of the 100 boats. Fished from 5am-11....no luck. Numbers at the ramp were down also. I avoid the weekend madness. Was going to go out Monday for the last day in Idiot Bay but finished painting my house instead...what a guy.
Yesterday 8-25, I launched at Shileshole about 4:30 am and it came a downpour so I waited until 5 to start fishing at Meadow point for some Chinook action. No luck.Weather was as bad as I've seen it in a long time. About 7am I switched over to Humpy gear and no sooner did I drop my line to 65 ft and I landed a 6# Blackmouth.Had to reel him in while on my knees since my boat(16ft) was getting tossed around like a rag doll. Had to toss him back since he had all his fins God gave him. Fished on for another hour and caught two Pinks.Went home and painted some more.
